TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Antalis Limited (“Antalis”, “we”, “us”, “our”), registered in England with registered office at: Gateway House, Interlink Way West, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 1LE.
1.2 Any references to “you” or “entrant” refer to the person submitting an entry into the competition.

2. Competition Name & Description

2.1 The competition is titled “The Cut” (the “Competition”) and is part of the Antalis Student Calendar Competition initiative available via: https://ask.antalis.co.uk/StudentCalendarComp.
2.2 The Competition invites students to submit an original calendar page design as specified on the Competition webpage, referencing Antalis creative papers.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Competition is open to: Students aged 16 or over as at the date of entry; and
currently enrolled on a recognised full-time or part-time course in art & design, graphic design, illustration or a related creative discipline at a recognised educational institution within the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.
3.2 Employees, contractors and agents of Antalis and any of its group companies, and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition are not eligible to enter.
3.3 Antalis may require proof of age, identity, and student status (e.g. valid student ID, confirmation of enrolment). Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in disqualification.
3.4 Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.

4. Competition Period

4.1 The Competition opens on 24th March 2026 and closes on 2nd October 2026 (“Competition Period”).
4.2 Entries received before the opening date or after the closing date will not be accepted and will not be entered into the judging process.
4.3 Antalis reserves the right to extend, shorten or otherwise amend the Competition Period where necessary for operational, technical or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be announced on the Competition webpage.

5. How to Enter

5.1 You may submit unlimited entries per person. Where multiple entries per person are allowed, each entry must be substantially different; near-duplicate entries may be disqualified at Antalis’ discretion.
5.2 Entries must comply with all technical and content requirements stated on the Competition webpage (including format, orientation, dimensions and any theme or brief).
5.3 By submitting an entry, you confirm that: You have read and accept these Terms & Conditions; and You meet all eligibility requirements.

6. Entry Requirements & Restrictions

6.1 Your design must be: Your own original work; Created solely by you; and Not copied wholly or substantially from any other work.
6.2 Your entry must not:
a) Infringe any copyright, trade mark, moral right, privacy or other intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party (including images, illustrations, logos, fonts, photographs or other content you do not own or have permission to use);
b) Contain any material that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing or otherwise inappropriate;
c) Include any recognisable persons unless you have obtained appropriate written consent from those persons (or their parents/guardians if under 18);
d) Promote any commercial brand, product, service, political cause or religious message (other than Antalis and its products, where such use is specifically requested in the brief); or
e) Contain any viruses, malware, corrupted files or other harmful content.
6.3 Antalis reserves the right to reject, remove or disqualify any entry which, in its sole opinion, does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or the Competition brief, or which is otherwise inappropriate.

7. Judging & Selection of Winners

7.1 All valid entries received by the closing date will be judged by a panel appointed by Antalis. The panel may include representatives from Antalis, design professionals and/or educators.
7.2 Entries will be judged on criteria including (but not limited to): Creativity and originality; Interpretation of the brief/theme; Visual impact and design quality; Suitability for production/print on Antalis substrates.
7.3 Judging will take place after the Competition Period. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
7.4 Antalis reserves the right not to select a winner, or to reduce the number of winners, if the quantity or quality of eligible entries is insufficient.

8. Prizes

8.1 Without limitation, Prizes may include: Inclusion of winning design(s) in an Antalis 2027 calendar or other promotional material; Printed copies of the calendar or item featuring the winning design(s); Publicity and promotion of the winning design(s) and entrant(s) via Antalis channels.
8.2 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.
8.3 Any tax liabilities or additional costs and expenses not explicitly stated as being included within a Prize are the responsibility of the winner.

9. Winner Notification & Prize Fulfilment

9.1 The winners will be selected and notified by email (using the contact details provided at the time of entry) on 19th October 2026.
9.2 Winners must respond and confirm acceptance of their Prize within 7 days of the notification being sent. If a winner: Does not respond within the stated timeframe; Cannot be contacted; or Is found to be ineligible or in breach of these Terms & Conditions, Antalis reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and select an alternative winner.
9.3 Antalis may announce the winners’ names, institution and winning design(s) on its website, social media channels, in press releases and other marketing materials. By entering, you consent to such announcements as described in section 11 below.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 You retain ownership of the copyright and any other intellectual property rights in your entry, subject to the licence granted in clause 10.2.
10.2 By entering the Competition, you grant Antalis and its group companies a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty‑free, transferable, irrevocable and perpetual licence (with the right to sub-license) to: Use, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, translate, publish, distribute, display and communicate your entry (in whole or in part) in any media now known or later developed; and use your entry in connection with the Competition, Antalis products, marketing and promotional activities (including but not limited to calendars, catalogues, sample packs, digital and printed communications, exhibitions and social media).
10.3 Where your entry is selected as a winning or highly commended design, Antalis may reproduce and incorporate your design in printed and/or digital materials, including products which may be distributed commercially or as promotional items. No additional payment beyond the Prize will be due to you for such uses unless expressly agreed in writing.
10.4 You agree to waive any moral rights you may have in your entry, or to the extent such rights cannot be waived, not to assert them against Antalis, its licensees or assigns, in relation to uses that comply with these Terms & Conditions.
10.5 You confirm that: You own or have obtained all necessary rights, clearances and permissions to grant the licence in clause 10.2; and the use of your entry by Antalis in accordance with these Terms & Conditions will not infringe the rights of any third party.
You agree to indemnify Antalis against any claims, losses, damages or expenses arising from any breach of this clause 10.5.

11. Publicity & Personal Data

11.1 Antalis may use your name, course, educational institution, town/city of residence and images of your entry in publicity materials in connection with the Competition, including on Antalis websites, social media channels, newsletters, press releases, printed materials and at events.
11.2 If you are a winner, Antalis may request a photograph and/or short profile or quote for publicity purposes. Participation in additional publicity is voluntary but may be encouraged.
11.3 Any personal data you provide will be processed by Antalis in accordance with applicable data protection law and Antalis’ Privacy Policy, available at: Privacy Policy.
11.4 Personal data will be used for the purposes of administering the Competition, contacting entrants, judging entries, awarding Prizes, and conducting related publicity and reporting.
11.5 Antalis may share limited personal data with trusted third-party service providers solely for the purposes of administering the Competition and fulfilling the Prizes. Such providers will be bound by appropriate data protection obligations.

12. Liability

12.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Antalis and its group companies, agents and distributors shall not be liable for: Any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant or third party in connection with the Competition or any Prize; or any technical, hardware, software, server, website or other failures or malfunctions, or any lost, delayed, corrupted or misdirected entries, howsoever caused.
12.2 You are responsible for ensuring that your entry is submitted correctly and in a form that can be accessed and evaluated by the judges.

13. Cancellation & Variation

13.1 Antalis reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the Competition, these Terms & Conditions, and/or the Prizes where necessary for reasons outside its reasonable control or if the Competition cannot be run as planned, provided that such changes will not materially disadvantage entrants.
13.2 Any material changes will be notified on the Competition webpage and, where appropriate, by email to entrants.
