GRAPHIC DESIGN COMPETITION

Put your work on the desks of creatives and print professionals across the UK and Ireland. We’re inviting students on graphic design and related courses to design a page for the Antalis 2027 calendar.
We are excited to announce a graphic design competition open to all graphic design and related academic course students! This competition challenges you to create a visually compelling page for the widely distributed Antalis 2027 desk calendar, offering you an opportunity to showcase your talent to a broad audience of design agencies, brands and creative printers.

Theme

The theme for our calendar is "Creative Power", offering broad scope to submit a page that represents your interpretation through innovative design, typography and imagery. Submissions must refer to the choice of paper (brand and colour) from Antalis’ Creative Paper portfolio covering Keaykolour, Olin Design, Olin Colours, Olin Origins, Conqueror, Delos, Refit, Rives, Pergraphica and Curious collections. View ranges here.

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: 2 October 2026
  • Winners announced: 19 October 2026
  • Calendar release: January 2027
What to Create

  • Format: 140 x 140 mm, high‑resolution PDF
  • Content: Month name and calendar grid for that month*
  • Style: Original and visually striking. Strong use of colour, type and/or imagery. Consider how your design works on your chosen paper colour/texture.

*If selected, you may be asked to adapt the grid for a different month.

Antalis may add finishes such as foil, spot UV, embossing/debossing or other embellishments to the printed calendar.

How to Enter

Entering is simple! Just complete the entry form linked below and upload your design. We just need your contact details and a 100-150 word description of the concept and how it reflects “Creative Power” and the chosen paper.

You may submit more than one design.

By entering, you agree that Antalis may use your artwork in the calendar and for promotional purposes.
How will this competition benefit you?

  • Work on a real-world, print-focused brief that links directly to material choice and production
  • It's a chance to have your work professionally printed, finished and widely circulated
  • It's a valuable portfolio piece and talking point for placements, internships and graduate roles
  • Winners will get exposure via Antalis’ online and offline channels throughout 2027

We look forward to seeing your interpretations and Creative Power! For any questions, please contact us at paperdesk@antalis.co.uk.
